"I Want To Play For Nigeria" Says Emmanuel Osadebe, An Irish-Born Footballer Who Is Ready To Leave Ireland For The Super Eagles

Dear Reader...

Emmanuel Osadebe, an Irish footballer, has stated that he is ready to play for Nigeria, therefore ending his prospects of representing the Republic of Ireland.

The midfielder, who was born in Dundalk, Ireland, to Nigerian parents, is eligible to represent both countries at the international level.

The 25-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur youngster has represented the Republic of Ireland at underage level, getting his first call-up to the U-21 squad in 2015.

The midfielder, now 25, is ready to swap his allegiance to Nigeria's Super Eagles.

"Ireland’s not for me; I want to play for Nigeria," Osadebe told the Telegraph and Argus.

"I’m still only 25 years old, and if I have a good season this year and then a couple more higher up, I know it can happen."

"I believe it will happen, and I hope that being at Bradford starts that process up, and we keep moving up because the goal is to get promotion."
