On Wednesday, June 16, while preaching in his church, Fr Mbaka denounced Mr. Obi as a stingy man who was unfit to be President. Fr. Mbaka has issued a public apology in response to the widespread condemnation he has received from Nigerians, the Enugu Diocese, and other pastors. In his letter of apology, headlined "Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka Blesses His Excellency Peter Obi and His Followers," Fr Mbaka added, "If in any way, the supporters of Mr Peter Obi feel offended by my remarks or anyway I was misconstrued by them, I pray for their understanding and forgiveness." OkonLagos claimed in a video posted to his Instagram page that politicians are only seen once every four years and that it is good to make a lot of money from them in order to survive until the next election season, when they will come around again begging votes. OkonLagos stated that he is willing to sell his votes for $1000 per day if the price is right. He said that one year is made up of 365 days, which is multiplied by four years to equal 1,460 days.   Dear Reader...  The platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II will be commemorated this weekend with a song written by Vincent Atueyi Chinemelu, a Nigerian Catholic Reverend Father. The Catholic Priest from Anambra, along with lyricist Lucy Kiely from Australia, won the Song for the Commonwealth competition in January, according to Commonwealth Resounds. Chinemelu composed 'A Life Lived With Grace,' which is being sung around the world as beacons are lit in honor of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Chinemelu is a multi-instrumentalist who plays the piano, flute, cello, trumpet, alto sax, and guitar. Choirs and communities from all 54 Commonwealth countries have been invited to join in the celebrations by singing their own versions of the song during the lighting of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacons on June 2nd.
