Manny Pacquiao's manager, Sean Gibbons, has stated that a rematch with Floyd Mayweather this year is something he 'would love.'
In 2015, Pacquiao and Mayweather fought at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. However, the American won the bout by unanimous decision, leaving fans disappointed that Pacquiao did not get his revenge in a rematch.
However, the Filipino boxer/politician is eager to fight Mayweather again, as long as the battle is done under exhibition fight conditions.
When questioned about a possible rematch, Sean Gibbons, head of MP Promotions, said, "Let's go."
'I'd love to see it, but Mayweather doesn't want to see it because of his ego. Senator Pacquiao would love to participate in an exhibition, and if he returns, it will be this year - but it is a big "if."
Mayweather announced his retirement from professional boxing in 2017, after defeating Conor McGregor in a lucrative crossover bout. Since then, he's stepped into the ring for a few exhibition fights.
