Mauricio Pochettino Has Agreed To Be Fired By Paris Saint-Germain.

Dear Reader...

Mauricio Pochettino, the head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, has reached an agreement with the club that will see him leave after 18 months in charge.

The Argentine coach has been in charge for 18 months, and in his first full season, he led the team to the Ligue 1 title, finishing 15 points ahead of second-placed Marseille.

Pochettino and PSG executives met last week for crucial negotiations, during which they discussed his departure from the French club.

According to reports, the chat resulted in a mutual decision that the former PSG captain will not return to the Parc des Princes dugout, with both parties agreeing that a parting of ways would be the best option.

Pochettino took PSG to the Champions League semi-finals after replacing Thomas Tuchel in 2021, becoming only the second manager to lead the club to that level of the competition during the Qatari ownership era.

Even though his team went undefeated at home in the Champions League and Ligue 1 last season, he was fired ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Due to his established track record of success in the Champions League, Zinedine Zidane is the club's top pick to replace Pochettino.
